We publish original research articles, reviews, and short communications exploring the complex interactions between human society and the natural environment. Core topics include environmental dynamics, climate change, land use and land cover changes, natural hazard assessment and management, water resources management, biodiversity conservation, urban ecology, and regional sustainable development strategies. We accept submissions in English. Present Environment and Sustainable Development is an online, open-access journal. All articles are published under a Creative Commons License (CC BY).
